Hosting
We are so grateful to our schools and coaches who take on the responsibility of hosting a semi or final competiton. Thank you for supporting our BOB community!
How does my school volunteer to host?
You can specify that your school is interested in hosting on your registration or you may email HK BOB.
What type of venue is needed?
You do not need a fancy auditorium to host. Your venue needs to be able to accomodate a minimum of 85 students and 12 adults. A large meeting room, a small gymnasium or an auditorium all work well.
What does volunteering as a host entail?
A host secures a venue and oversees the setup for the day of the competition (tables, chairs, microphones, nametags, etc.) The host commuicates with the coaches in their group and organises volunteers for the competition. The BOB committee will connect with you and offer support throughout the process and will supply you with competition questions and scoreheets; sample letters and sign up forms.
